Workshops and Short Courses
At Sens Fontaine Osteopathy, we inspire our clients to:
- Develop self-awareness and inner motivation for finding freedom and trust in their own bodies,
- Engage in more intimacy with self and others for developing and maintaining healthy relationships, and
- Make creative and empowered decisions for achieving intended goals in career, relationship, health and personal growth.
There is inherent healing potential in every body. As our body, mind, heart and spirit integrate, we evolve into wholeness. Wellness is when we allow ourselves to balance. It is an ongoing process involving the loving acceptance of self. Wellness is a choice, and each of us are our own agents for self-change.
Here are some of our offerings to support the development of new patterns, attainment of optimal wellness and maintenance of embodied well-being.
Singing Bowl Workshop – Introduction and Beginner
Awareness Through Movement
The Feldenkrais Method of somatic education facilitates awareness through movement. Developed by Dr Moshe Feldenkrais, the Method uses gentle, mindful movement to bring new awareness and possibility into every aspect of life. “If you know what you’re doing, you can do what you want.” – Moshe Feldenkrais
GYROKINESIS®
The GYROKINESIS® Method coordinates movement, breath and mental focus. It is a movement method that addresses the entire body, opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion and creating functional strength through rhythmic, flowing movement sequences.
Sivananda Yoga
Established by Swami Sivananda, Sivananda Yoga integrates the 4 paths of yoga (Karma, Bhakti, Raja and Jnana) and seeks to develop physical health, mental health, and spiritual growth. This class recharges the physical body and relaxes the mind. Some pranayama, chanting and meditation may be included.
Advanced Somatics
Individually tailored one-on-one Advanced Somatics aims to restore health and wisdom through embodied movement. Through movement exploration of anatomy lines, 3D planes, and stationary postures, the elusive sensation of flow inherent in internal circulation will be experienced and explored.
Expressive Arts Therapy
Expressive Arts Therapy uses various arts – movement, drawing, painting, sculpting, music, writing, sound, and improvisation – in a supportive setting to facilitate growth and healing. Through the creative process, one can go into their inner realms to discover feelings and express them with different art forms.
